Striped, Die Cut Flower Birthday Wishes...X Two!

With May behind me in a few hours, the month of June is looking pretty quiet, well...much quieter than the month of May has been...and I hope to be back doing a lot more of what I love so much...creating!!
I have a couple birthday cards to show you today, that I made with the new Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes Frame and some Simon flower die cuts:)!!...
Yes, I have a "thing" going on with striped paper....love the look of the striped paper with this silver sentiment and pink and green flower(Simon Single Roses).  The sentiment is cut from the stitched frame part of the die...LOVE that this die is SO dual purpose...how fun is this?!!  The flower was die cut from paint chips, layering the borders with a single layer on the inside of the flower and leaves.  I added some silver enamel dots around the silver layered sentiment.  Here's a close up...

The second one uses the same sentiment and paper...different flowers.  I used the Simon Partial Cut Flower die for the flowers...then die cut the purple flowers from paint chips, cut out, and attached to the partial cut ones on the striped paper...
I hand drew the stems from the flowers and added the layered sentiment.  Here's a close up...
Such fun...dies, paint chips and striped paper...it doesn't get much better....!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

Today is my beautiful daughter, Hannah's, birthday...Happy Birthday, hon!!  We celebrated before Noah and I left from visitng her, and one of the things she wanted was a bike...so a bike was our gift to her.  When I finally sat down to create a card today, all I could think of was my daughter's birthday!  I had the wonderful new stamp and die set by Simon Says Stamp, Beautiful Ride, on my desk, and thought I would recreate her bike...a card celebrating her day!!...
Simple...no fanfare...ahh simplicity!!  I am LOVING the stripes, of late, so it seems I am always finding a way to make them a part of my cards.  This layout was the one I used on my last card, but thought it just went perfectly for this bike. I stamped, die cut, colored with colored pencils and layered( I colored the fenders instead of making them silver, just in case you noticed when you look below😊).  I cut apart two of the sentiment stamps to make the one you see stamped on this card, but thought it perfect for her.  Here's a pic she messaged me...oh how I love this lady...she is an amazing woman, daughter, sister and friend...LOVED spending two weeks with her and her hubby Nic!!...

Here's a close up...

Pencil Colored Flowers on Black

I used the new Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty stamp set stamped with versamark and white embossed,  along with my Prismacolor pencils on black cardstock to make a card!  I love these flowers and these pencils!!...
I paired them with a sentiment from the Simon stamp set Jumbo Stripes. I used two shades of purple and two shades of teal for the flowers and added some Doodlebug Sprinkle enamel dots for their centers.  Here's a close up...
Hope you have a great weekend!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Black and Teal Birthday Wishes

Having a blast in Florida with my daughter and son-in-law!!  Noah and I have been on lots of mini road trips with them since arriving here a week and a half ago...have a few more days here, before heading home to Virginia😞...we will be back😊!!  I hope to get back to creating more when I return home...until then, I have another card to share with you!  I used part of the fun, new Birthday Frame die from Simon Says Stamp on the card I recently made for CAS(E) this Sketch, and am using the whole die along with another piece of the patterned paper I found at AC Moore...
I thought the black and white design of the paper was perfect to pair  with a solid colored piece of cardstock as the pop of color.  I DID sponge the sentiment of the teal colored paper frame to make the sentiment stand out.  This is how I did it...
I taped the frame with Eclipse tape and only left the "Birthday Wishes" exposed.  I then sponged and eventually glossy accented the sentiment.  I layered the frame and added some enamel dots.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are all having a great week, too:)!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Loving Patterned Paper

I was at AC Moore a couple weeks ago, and they had some new patterned paper!  Understand...I have not always been a huge fan of patterned paper.  In recent years, though, I have come to LOVE it...well...the right kind of patterned paper.  The right sized patterns and the right colors, make for some great backgrounds and in this case,  fun, easy card making....and I LOVE that!!  I have two cards to show you.  The first had layered sentiments, the "thanks" die is from Reverse Confetti...
 Here's a close up...
The second one, I used another piece of the new patterned paper with a die cut daisy(to kind of match the paper) and a Papertrey Ink sentiment...
 Here's a close up...
I have some more paper to share with you...until then... Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

CAS(E) this Sketch 171...Happy Birthday

The sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch is very cool!  I stamped, sponged, die cut,  and embossed my way to a card for this challenge.  Here's my card and the sketch...

I used some new stamps and a die from Simon Says Stamp for today's card, Wild Beauty stamp set and Birthday Wishes Frame die.  I sponged the pink on cardstock, gold embossed the flowers, then cut out.  I die cut the frame, cut the sentiment from the frame and layered.
What a fun challenge and wonderful sketch!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
